Are the Linked Files Really There?

An often neglected aspect of document-file-image management is maintenance.  
  • The basic features of GoldVisionPro facilitate System Administrators' abilities to backup files and enforce network file security by assuring that files are stored in a specific location.

  • In addition, as mentioned above, the GoldVisionPro Link Center also facilitates identifying potential file link problems.

    Steps to Analyzing Links

    1.  After retrieving a Links List, any user can select the Analyze Links button to have GVP check that all the files referenced in the List still exist at the locations stored in their links.

    2. GoldVisionPro will create a list of orphan links, where the information in the file links is no longer valid or is inaccessible by the user in which this survey was performed.  

    3.  A Master User, may delete the orphan link by performing a right-mouse-click on the link in the Analyzer's display window.  This feature is not available in the trial version.
