Begin Using GoldVisionPro™ Link Center



Using the Link Center
  • Quick Search - The Contact Name Search is considered the "Quick Search".  This is helpful in looking for Contact names, departments, folders, case numbers, file numbers, or any other identified "Contact" specific entry.  There may be some use for "Record Typing" in order to create relevant choices.

  • New Search - Pressing this button will reset the search conditions to an empty search.

  • Advanced Search - Pressing this button activate the Advanced panel on the bottom of the screen.  A user can select a range of Companies, Contacts or other criteria, and list ALL of the documents related to that selection.  (THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL FEATURE)

  • Filter by  Access - This is an optional drop-down of all valid GoldMine® users and groups.  A User can leave the value as ALL, and this will examine Linked Documents for all users (access permitting).  If a user uses the drop down list to select any of the User IDs, then the program will examine only the Linked Documents created by that User or Group.

  • Filter Links Search Value

    1. Title - By checking Title, the Link Center will filter links with the value entered in the text box.  A user may specify a word or a combination of words in a phrase.  The search feature is NOT case sensitive.

    2. Notes - By checking Notes, the Link Center will filter links with the value entered in the text box.  A user may specify a word or a combination of words in a phrase.  The search feature is NOT case sensitive in SQL but is case sensitive in BDE.  Notes searching may take much longer than searching by Title.

    3. File Name - By checking File Name, the Link Center will filter links with the value entered in the text box.  A user may specify a word or a combination of words in a phrase.  The search feature is NOT case sensitive in SQL but is case sensitive in BDE.  File Name searching may take much longer than searching by Title.



    Results Tree
  • On the left, a tree of results of the Companies and Contacts that have links that are displayed in the results pane.

  • Users can select the results tree to start new searches, or more relevant searches.
